Profile

Dr R. Karthikeyan , Professor of GRIET has received his A.M.I.E (Mechanical Engineering) from The Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata, M.E (Thermal Power Engineering) and Ph.D (Manufacturing Engineering) from Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar. He worked in Fabrication, Non Destructive Testing and Special Waste Destruction (Incineration, Physical – Chemical Treatment, Recycling) concepts. And he contributed as a Co-Investigator in the project of Extramural Research & Intellectual Property Rights (ER&IPR), DRDO. He has published/presented research articles in national and international level on various aspects of friction stir spot welding of age-hardenable aluminum alloys and optimization of machining parameters. His publication was first in India on the Friction Stir Spot Welding area. He is a life member of The Institution of Engineers (India), the Indian Welding Society and ISTE.
